Kind understand where your coming from.If you told him you want him to move and he still wont then start going out and have fun make him want to leave. i know its hard because you care for him but not love him,but if you don't show him your serious things are going to be the same and does not far for nobody.

12 years? Why are you breaking up with him? He is just trying to hold on to something that you both have worked on for some time. Finish it, change the locks, and kick him out. OR try to resolve the problem like adults

Move out asap. It's not worth sticking around or putting up with garbage, and it's certainly not worth the misery. Believe me you'll be much happier the sooner you get away and having your own life. You better not leave contact information either, so make sure you get everything of yours the minute you move. If you have to, plan it when he's not around and do it quickly.

What is stopping you from moving out yourself?

Unless the house is in your name or there is a real good reason to hang onto a rented apartment that holds a lot of old memories, whatever you might "lose" by moving out yourself will be overshadowed by the freedom you will "gain" from a fresh start.

Move out...that way it's your choice to let him know where you are moving to or not. Plan it well....have enough helpers- maybe even professional helpers- they are fast, so it can be done in an hour or two. I think unconsciously you both don't really want the change, because it's too much work, but what's the point of staying together in your situation? One has to be proactive here...let it be you!

Then you move out for a while until he gets the hint and leaves or just have him take over the payments or mortgage and then it can be his house and you can go get a different one.

Find another guy and get him to boot the other one out. Or try this: you move out and leave his sorry self behind! Good luck, I'm praying for you.

Personaly what I would do is when he was gone I would pack his stuff up and sit it in the yard and change the locks on the house.

Start going out with other guys, kick him out. Treat him bad. Sleep with other guys. Tell him to move on.

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

Sell you house and move somewhere else. OR

change the locks and don't give him the new keys.
