I have just started cloth diapering and I wanted to know if you put your prefolds in the dryer. I'm in an apartment in Germany, so there's not a yard to hang in and not much sun. I have heard that you shouldn't dry AIO's or covers, but what about the rest?

(I really don't feel like hunting down research online, I've done that before. I wanted to know what real mommies actually do in their own homes.)

i did when i used them, just wash them and throw them in the dryer but not on very hot heat..do not put the plastic covers in the dryer or they will melt. just put them on top of the dryer until dry.

I put my cloth diapers in the dryer but didn't put the covers in the dryer. I didn't even wash the covers with soap. I just put them in the laundry on gentle cycle and they turned out fine.

I had Nikki covers and they were the greatest.

I used cloth diapers thru all of my 4 children. you can dry them in the dryer. use baby laundry soap and a soft/gentle fabric softner/dryer sheet. hanging them out to dry is ols school. plus it saves time if you are running low on diapers. who wants to wait for them to dry in the sun?

You can wash your cloth diapers in a washer on warm/hot depending on the stains. you can dry them on low heat or hang them in the bathroom on the shower bar. you should rinse the plastic pants/cover and let them air dry.use laundry soap for babies. like snowy or dreft

I would use special baby laundry soap and fabric softener, and yes I would use the dryer.
