It makes the average joe wonder who the real "troublemakers" are when employers are out to fire people for petty nonsense like that.

There is software available to employers that allow them to watch and monitor where employees are surfing on the net. If an employer has rules or regulations that prohibit employees from surfing, this software can and will track where employees are surfing. If you are in violation of company rules, you could be fired.

because they need it for some reasons.....
maybe the system they are using is using the web to to be able to access information on certain departments of the company to other and vice versa
