Can someone give me a clear description or tell me a site that tells me the difference/

Firstly the graphics, sims 2 is now 3D. Visually there is a big improvement.
The sims in the sims 2 are capable of aging, so have a much normal 'life' right through from birth to death.
Sims 2 now have their own wants/fears, which is loosely based on their 'personality' type, which is chosen when you create them. Fulfilling a want will raise their aspiration meter, and facing a fear will decrease the meter. When the meter goes to low, the sim will suffer a nervous breakdown of sorts. Aspiration points collected, can be used to 'buy' bonus items for the game.
Genetics (?) the sims of the Sims 2 are able to have babies, which (apparently?) look like both parents.
There are now days of the week, so your sim can enjoy the weekend too :-)

The Sims original dose not have aspirations and Sims can not grow up and the graphics are not too hot,but it works faster than the Sims2.The Sims1 also has more expansion packs than the Sims2,but I think the Sims2 worker people are still working on it.The Sims2 has all the stuff that I mentioned the Sims1 doesn't.I think you'll prefer the Sims2.

well u see, sims 1 was a lot of fun when only sims 1 was out cause you can control other peoples lives and jobs and bank accounts but....it gets boring.
sims 2 on the other hand.... they are much more like people... they get born and they go through different stages in their lives. then they get old and they die...like real people.
oh and you don't get bored cause they have wants and fears that makes every day different.

The Sims is the past... and The Sims 2 is the present... Newer game= more features and better EVERYTHING.....
NO NEED TO DECIDE.... GET SIMS 2 but get sims if your computer is slow and has a weak and cheap graphics card....: )
as for the other systems... i dont know.. i wouldnt recommend it...

sims 2 is better graphically and it's more 3D and is better designed with more features and more realistic play. It doesn't have pets lik sims1 had but the baby raising features are better as is EVERYTHING ELSE! It is WAY better than Sims 1.

take my word for it, sims 2 is absolutly awesomeness compared to sims1. too much to say. if u want message me and i would love to pour my heart about how much better sims 2 is

*You can make people grow...start with a baby and it progresses thru adulthood....
