Yes, it's normal to find it disgusting. No, it's not normal to read in the toilet. I lent a book to someone once and he used to read it in the toilet. I got rid of that book afterwards. I normally wash my hands after going to the toilet: I shouldn't have to wash my hands after reading as well.
Of course if he's reading writing on the wall, that's different. That's why people write on toilet walls: so that it can be read, and it's better than reading a book.

A lot of men take a newspaper to the toilet to read . I find it disgusting to think of reading in there. Most women just want to get out of there as quickly as possible but not so men. They are a weird lot.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I find it relaxes me and just makes the whole process just smoother if you know what i mean. That way you don't concentrate on the task at hand. Just think about it this way do you realllly want to think of pooo when you're stuck in that loo!!!!!
Basically it works for me, just came back from the loo with the property section of the newspaper.

I can't see any possible objection. Perhaps you resent your boyfriend not being with you at all times. Are you a jealous type? Cut him some slack. Personally I don't just read in the loo, I write and answer the phone.

Ofcourse its normal, why do you find it so disgusting. Its a way of passing the time. My parents usually have a stack of books in the bathroom!

I read all the time on the john. Shampoo bottles and face wash labels if I have to. Pooping is just plain disgusting anyway, reading makes it more civilized. (and bearable) Don't forget to wipe!

LOL - I mean in several sittings - not one big sitting! XD
It wasn't my book - it was my housemates - she had been reading it in the bath and had put it on the radiator to dry off!!
