Have you compled your training as an actor? Do you have a BFA and/or MFA in Theater?
If so, you should audition for the community theater and regional theaters in your area.
When you have appeared in l 15 or 20 play, in a a lead role , you can consider moving to New York City.
If you have not performed in enough plays, get to work, as you should ALWAYS be performing in a play - otherwise, how do you expect to get your name out there?

im sure your chance will definitely come!

you'tr better off there then drowning in crowds of "potential" stars in nyc or la.
do local gigs that will earn you a rep,
talk to people and get to know everyone.
dont go for those training camp scams.
the oppurtunity for bigger and bigger roles with come
