I ask another question a while ago and people disagreed with me. I have learnt from this and have another question.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060620235108AAdQTQU&r=w

I think non-government related individuals should be prosecuted to the maximum for selling authentic military uniforms with or without medals. Like everyone on the previous question that I posted said, the uniform and medals are worn to "show appreciation for the service the soldiers have done. They earned the right to wear the uniform and the medals,by bravery and sacrifice." "THE VETEREN WHO EARNED THE MEDAL OR MEDALS IN QUESTION PUT HIS OR HER LIFE ON THE LINE FOR THIER COUNTRY TO PROTECT WHINERS LIKE YOU, SO YOU COULD HAVE THE FREEDOM TO SAY WHAT YOU WANT AND WEAR WHAT YOU WANT AND GO WHERE YOU WANT. "

Also movies are forbidden to show an actor wearing an authentic military uniform (with or without medals) according to a poster on my last question.

Who agrees with me this time? I think any non-government related individual, better yet, anyone SHOULD NOT be allowed to sell a authenic uniform (with or without medals) on the internet. If a person is caught, the punishment should be harsh because the people that purchase these uniforms doesn't know what soldiers have to go through just to get a uniform and not to mention the prestigious medals that are obtain decades into their military career.

Also, what should the punishment be? Should it be death, a little harsh but they disgraced and shamed our countries soldiers. Should it be life in prison without parole or with parole? Or should it be a year in prison just like it is for wearing a authentic uniform (with medals)?

According to my last question, posters told me that uniforms and medals were more than just an item or a piece of property. Uniforms and medals are given to those who sacrificed their life for their country. Medals are given to those that are brave, and wants to give everyone freedom, so from reading all this, a uniform and medals are a lot more than just an item or a piece of property. It is never owned by an individual, it is always owned by the government and it is granted to a person to wear for the duty that they provided for their country. No one should touch a soldier uniform or medals, according to my previous posters because we do not hold the privileges that soliders hold. If you don't want your uniform anymore, then you need to surrender it to the government in which it belongs.

/* You are right to say this should not be abused - but it is the buyer - not the seller that abuses this. */

Well, if the seller was eliminated then the buyer would cease to exist. The government is the one that issues the uniforms and the medals, so why not let them be the only ones? Someone said on here, they purchased a few medals that they lost. So you lose your own and buy someone elses and tell everyone I earned this medal. No you didn't earn that medal, you earned the one that you lost, the medal that you bought was earned by someone else.

It is like losing a college degree, and buying another college degree off of someone that went to the same college that you did instead of paying the government the fee to produce another degree. Say if Joe lost his medal of honor, and Larry had a medal of honor too, but Larry didn't want his medal of honor anymore. He sells it to Joe that really wants a medal of honors. Is that medal of honors his?

He didn't earn that medal of honor, so Joe is walking around everywhere in his military uniform with Larry's medal of honor attached to his uniform. Sure Joe earned a medal of honor, but he didn't earn Larry's medal of honor. Based upon the responses that I received from my previous question, the government needs to control the market for military merchandise. I mean, when we allow the sale of military merchandise, but we disallow the wearing of the merchandise, it is just wrong. If the buyer isn't allowed to wear it, then the buyer shouldn't be allowed to buy it, so how do you control that, through the use of the government. Only the government should sell it, otherwise, the merchandise is opened to the entire world for the taken.

No.. You shouldn't get prosecuted for selling medals that are your property unless you steal and sell them or defraud someone out of them. They are only "items" or "property" owned by the person who holds them. No crime. You can't stop someone from selling property, unless your communist.

I disagree, I don't think it should be illegal to buy or sell uniforms or medals (other than the medal of honor). That would lower the value of used uniforms and raise the cost of uniforms. It would also make it harder for Veterans to get replacement medals.

I would not be opposed to a law that would prosecute people who falsely impersonated a Veteran by Waring a uniform or awards that are not earned.

Basically, there is no law that prohibits someone from selling the items you talk about. There are laws that prohibit the buyer from falsely using this material for personal gain or fraudulent purposes. I have bought several items to replace things that I have misplaced or lost. You are right to say this should not be abused - but it is the buyer - not the seller that abuses this.

We were given married a three hundred and sixty 5 days in the past. The third groomsman, no longer even the most proper guy, wore his gown blues in our formal Catholic church wedding ceremony. He did not "ensue" the bride, nor "outshine" the groom and take all the interest. He appeared truly tremendous. NO, he did not conflict with the different adult males wearing tuxes. He did not look as if a "clone", yet he did not conflict both. We, the couple, requested him to positioned on his gown blues in our wedding ceremony. We felt commemorated to have a US Marine in our wedding ceremony; and through wearing his gown blues, it became also a fashion to honor him and prepare our appreciation to him for serving our usa, combating for our freedom, and dodging bullets and bombs in Afghanistan. i do not comprehend the position you study that gown blues are irrelevant for a wedding ceremony, yet it really is not any longer actual. protection rigidity adult males positioned on their formal uniforms for all time in weddings, and in formal weddings. bypass figure... a suitable uniform in a suitable wedding ceremony. The "husband" and bride are obdurate. i'd tell your chum to fret more effective about completely ruining the relationship with the brother than the way it is going to look in photos. . .
