If the texts are offensive then you can go to the service providor. I was receiving harrassment texts and vodafone changed my number without giving me a new sim. It took 48 hours but no questions asked, they didnt even want to know what was in the texts they just did it. It jut means having to contact all your friends with your new number. But try and call the number first the person may think they are texting somebody else.

*If* the texts are coming from a short code number and you're feeling brave you could reply to the text with the word "STOP". I've had my number for almost 10 years and I was worried when I started receiving spam that I'd have to get a new one. The "STOP" thing worked for me. Somehow I'd been signed up for some competition service - either someone else did it or I'd done it unwittingly. It was a legit service however and the "STOP" command did the trick.

Then again, if it's not legit you could be getting yourself into more trouble.

See the link for more advice from Orange. They recommend a couple of extra steps.

When you say "someone" it sounds like an individual more than a company. In which case your best bet is to contact your operator and report the creep! :)

They may not be sending you the text from a mobile phone. Yahoo allows SMS and so does phone carriers websites. So theres not way to tell.

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

Report the matter to the service provider. They will figure out the source. They also have the capability of blocking any number from sending you messages.

I basically tell the guy i do no longer decide to textual content fabric and that i could truly loiter around. i'm extra direct than maximum folk, so I haven't any theory what she could be doing. basically ask her what's up (in individual, just to be secure).

You can block this person from sending in your call barring settings in your phone. Otherwise ring your operator
