My period is irregular & my doctor had me on birth control for a long while to regulate it, recently i went to a specialist & he has me on some other meds that will help. I asked him if this didnt work would i be able to have kids & he said its a good possibility considering my cousin cant have kids & my other cousin had a hystarectamy (i have no idea if i spelt that right). I've been told before that it is a possibility that i wont be able to get pregnant but that was from just a reg. doctor (i have told him that before) but should i tell him again? I dont know why im so upset about this. Maybe because this is the 2nd time & from a specialist? Should I or should I not?

Yes. It wouldn't be fair to him if he has his heart set on having a family.

If you feel like he should know then I would tell him. All depends if he wants kids or not. If he does then yes I'd tell him because it's only fair. If not then it's not a big deal. May I ask why you wouldn't be able to have kids?? Because my period is very werid. I am 20 yrs old and it use to usually come on time or a few days before or after the day I was suppose to get it but now I don't even get it for months and then it comes and it's been having that kind of cycle I don't even remember the last time I had a period and I am guessing it was back in December. I am NOT sexually active and I am deff NOT pregnant, I just wonder if this is normal. I am scared to ask a doc and I have seen an OBGYN before. Did you have anything like I did??? Cuz I am wondering whatever this is,would I be able to have kids to???

Hey, it's hard recognizing the one biological responsibility a woman has is taken away from her by some unknown source. But all I can say is yes, tell him! Don't be ashamed and wait for the outcome of what your specialist tells you. I have PCOS disorder..(PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome) basically I will never have children and my BF supports me 110%. Make sure you see an endocrinologist...some women don't know how lucky they are and if you ever consider having children there are always options. I have a cousin the same way...my sister was a crack addict and unable to take care of her children and my cousin adopted her..the universe is in your favor..don't worry

Absolutely. He has a right to know.

My ex-husband and I wanted children but when he found out I couldn't have them, he left. He really wanted a family and I couldn't give it to him. I was heartbroken because we had been together for 13 1/2 years.

It is best if you are honest up front. If he really wants a family, it is best he leaves before you get in too deep with him and lose your heart. Believe me, it will hurt a lot less.

Get a second reliable opinion and if it's the same result, tell him. It's better to get it out now then deal with this situation now and get his input on it. I had a scare like that and told my boyfriend. My reasoning was if he was going to run, better to get it done with early than after having trying and failing. If he's a good guy he'll understand

WELL 1ST OF ALL HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH THIS BOYFRIEND AND 2ND ARE THE TWO OF YOU TALKING ABOUT MARRIGE AND KIDS YET? IF THIS IS A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP THEN YOU NEED TO BE HONEST AND SEE HOW IMORTANT BIOLOGICAL KIDS ARE TO HIM I KNOW SOME GUYS WHO ARE THE ONLY ONES IN THEIR FAMILY TO CARRY ON THE NAME AND MAY NOT WANT TO ADOPT FOR THAT REASON. AND ALSO IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN WITH THIS GUY LONG UNLESS YOU ARE SURE THERE IS LONG TERM MATERIAL IN HIM WHY POSSIBLY FREAK HIM OUT IF HE HAS NOT BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS TOO. SOOO LONG STORY SHORT IF HES THE ONE THEN YES TELL HIM NOW BUT LOOK IN TO INVERTRO FERTILIZATION THE DOCTER MAY BE ABLE TO HELP AND YOU STILL CARRY THE BABY YOURSELF YA KNOW !! (YOUR EGG AND HIS SPERM) BUT I HOPE FOR THE BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIEND AND FOR SURE TELL HIM BEFORE YOU GET MARRIED ! GOD BLESS

Definately YES! Because a relationship based on mistrust will not last longer. So, leaving today is better then leaving after one or two years. Then it would be more painful then today. So, go ahead and tell him the reality. If he loves you and he is yours he will not leave you. You know what if the one who love you go far from you, and if loves you with honestly one day came back to you. And if he was not yours will never return.

Honesty is the best Policy! Be frank before you marry or else you might repent for life time. If you are not going to marry then you need not tell about it to your current Boyfriend.

Why get married if you are not going to have kids? That's the way I look at it, and that's the way a lot of guys do. If you love him, you really should tell him.

I think you should talk it over with him and see where to go from there..maybe it will ease your mind to say it out loud and have someone to talk to about it. I think talking always helps and this would be a good thing to talk to him about as long as you do it in a good setting and don just blurt it out randomly you would be fine.. I would definitely tell him..at least for your sake!

I think you should tell him. If you love him it's only right to let him know to be fair to him. If he really loves you, I'm quite sure he will not mind not having kids and will be happy to just have you.
