I'm going on a road trip for 5 days. What do I need to bring and have? Not so much necessities, but games, fun stuff, food, etc.

First off take your laptop PC because almost every hotel now has free high speed internet access.

Then take a cooler stocked with some water and soft drinks. We also generally take a supply of food preparation and storage stuff, like zip lock bags, paper plates and bowls, napkins, salt & pepepr, a sharp knife for cutting vegetables. and a large table cloth or towel, plus some hand wipies.

WE usually start our trip with fruits and nuts to munch on and when the supply gets low or is out, find a supermarket and restock. WE also take our own favorite salad dressings and mstard, lunch fixing, like sliced ham and turkey in a zip bag. Then we buy the bags of salad (keep that in the cooler too) and then we stop at rest areas for lunch. Spread the table cloth or towel, use the rest facilities, make out own salads and sandwiches and enjoy.

After driving all day you will probably not want to play games, but you and the kids (if there are any) may want to get in the pool and jacuzzi and also maybe use the exercise facilities.

If you bring your PC you can play video games as well as get online. Some hotels also these days have a pC station that you can use for a fee or for free.

My 2 cents: Don't ever be without water or something to drink. It's getting hot up here now and I've been in some bad traffic jams before and almost passed out becuase of the heat.

Water water water!!
