too many people can use it to get out of problems without really thinking it through.

people would use it just to stop being a burden on their families.

it could possible halt medical discoveries as more people try to get out of their problems by using euthanasia instead of trying medicatiosn that could work.

Moderate to heavy relief on insurance, medical staff, family grief and obligation. Definitely a reduction in elderly suicides. Slight reduced stress on social security.

A controversy here and there, a protest here and there, definite debates on "sound state of mind", and many a poorly formed, uneducated opinion on both sides.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it is more common than you think. Terminal cancer patients are sometimes given morphine to the point that they go to sleep and basic functions like breathing cease, leading to a peaceful and dignified death (my opinion).
