Are you talking about in the media? I'm not sure. But you bring up a very good point. I remember watching an Oprah show where she had Pink as a guest after Pink came out with that song making fun of all the popular, brainless celebrities. She related to Oprah that before she came on the show, she had asked several people to name 5 smart women in Hollywood, and no one could come up with anything. I had no problem coming up with names myself, but I do agree the actresses most publicized (people like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson--all tabloid favorites) are certainly not known for their "intelligence". Jessica Simpson is purported to have a high IQ, but I have seen no sign of this, and if it's true, she must keep it very well hidden.
I think part of the reason a lot of the young starlets in Hollywood have jumped onto this "I'm a cute, blonde ditz" bandwagon is because it sells. Kellie Pickler from American Idol was another example of a ditzy-seeming blonde, but you'll notice she was booted from American Idol and brunette Katharine McPhee remained in her place.
There are still a lot of intelligent women in the Hollywood set. You should try asking yourself if you can name five smart BLONDE celebs....as I said I was able to name smart Hollywood women, but they weren't necessarily blonde!
But still, there are actresses like Natalie Portman, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie (who despite the recent bad press with her being dubbed a "husband-stealer", is still very concerned with the state of affairs of desperate third world countries, and has done wonderful humanitarian work that speaks for itself), Julianne Moore, Susan Sarandon, Oprah Winfrey, and Kate Hudson. Emma Thompson is also quite brilliant, as is Catherine Keener. Those women don't have to act trashy or stupid to do well in their careers. And they give the rest of us hope that there ARE strong women in Hollywood.

well all the smart people left the earth a few years ago and have been for some time now. They leave under the esie of astronuts going to work on the I.S.S.
when they actually have all ready started to colonize the moon, why do you think good ol GW wants to go to the moon and NASA says that it will cost to much money?
