My first question was, how do I restore the "tools, view etc." bar to my browser? I installed an up date to Windows XP and lost this bar. I received an email with an answer but every time I try to open a link I lose the screen.
Can anyone help me fix these problems?

Are you opening a link in your email and is that where you're losing your screen? You can always go to Yahoo directly - go to yahoo.com, then click on the Answers link near the top of the screen. From there, on the right is a link that says My Q&A. Click that (you may have to sign in) and that should take you to a list of all of your questions. From there look for your question and click on it - your answer should be there on the next screen.

I just looked there, and your only answer listed is "Please be more specific." If your current screen only has the toolbar icons at the top of the screen with no File, Edit, etc. menu, try hitting F11 to see if that helps. F11 toggles between a full screen type view and the standard view. If that doesn't work, it may be a download issue. See if you can get back to the Microsoft Update page and download/redownload whatever you haven't yet.

Hope this helps!
