I'm going to Greece in August and want to wear a bikini. But I don't want people to look at me and laugh. Or should I just stick to shorts and a tank top to go swimming?

i'm 25 years old by the way and have never worn a bikini in my life because i'm too embarassed!

Honey, I'm less inches tall and somewhere in the neighborhood of pounds-48 years old. NOT real big into exposing a lot of flesh but went to a 'gated retirement community' in FL last year and didn't feel TOO stupid wearing a bikini (kinda) in the same pool as a bunch of 80 yr old women in bikinis!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- you just do what feels good to you and screw anyone's opinon.

I'm 5'7 and 132 pounds and I look fine in a bikini. So I'm sure that you would too. And people don't laugh at people who are maybe a little chubby in their swimsuit, they probably wouldn't even notice you. However, swimming in shorts and a tank top will make you stick out like a sore thumb. But if you are really uncomfortable then you could just go with some kind of coverup or just the shorts (but not the shorts and the tank, that would draw too much attention) Have fun in Greece!

I'm actually 5'7" and just barely weigh 140lbs as well! I think it depends on how your body carries your weight. All of mine tends to be in my butt/legs, leaving me with almost no upper body. So I try to wear those bathing suits that have a bikini top and little boy-short bottoms.
Maybe you could try something like that, or if you're the opposite a tankini and bikini bottoms. Lots of department stores sell bathing suits in separates, so I'd try one looking there too.

If I saw u in Greece in a bikini I’m sure I would find u very attractive and I’m half your age,,, u should be proud of your self and enjoy every day of your life, who gives a shi**** what people think, wear it and walk with 1000 % confidence,

I'd laugh if you embarrased about wearing the bikini that you wanted to wear. Dont worry so much and have a great time!

No, your okay and who cares what other people think. I don't feel comfortable in a skimpy bathing suit, so I got one that the bottoms are like shorts. You could always do something like that if you don't feel comfortable. But don't worry about it and have fun in Greece.

Your body mass index shows that you are the healthy weight for your height. You will look great in a bikini! Go for it.

no doubt ur ur smartness comes out of ur dress but more importantly it comes of the way u dress it and how confident N comfortable u feel with it;
