It is probobly Pythagoras that you mean..He was a Greek mathematician and philosopher, founder of the mystic, religious and scientific society called Pythagoreans who belived in harmony in nature and that all things could be understood through mathematics.
It was the Pythagoreans who discovered that the relationship between musical notes could be expressed in numerical ratios of small whole numbers. Ya know. Whole Step Half Step, etc...

You've mis-spelt it. It should be "Pythagoras" He was a great mathematician who is famous for "The Pythagoras Theorem" in Geometry that states that:

In any right-angled triangle, the square of the hypothenuse is equal to the sum of square of the other two sides.

I think you mean Pythagora, the Greek philosopher who came up with a^2 + b^2 = c^2 (AKA Pythagorean theorem).
