what do u think of survivor (the reality tv series)?

survivor has run 12 seasons with the 13th season on the way (soon in fall). what do u think of the series so far? and do u think it will last longer than 16 seasons (some rumors reported that contract was signed for up to 16 seasons only)?

i LOVE survivor! its a great show! it is soooo entertaining! i hope it lasts for a long time.

I love Survivor and hope it lasts 16 seasons and beyond. Some seasons are more entertaining than others (just like any TV show), which I guess has to do with the casts. I don't think they did any gross eating challenge in Survivor Exile Island. Animal Rights Activists groups have kind of put the kibosh on that practice, which is fine by me.

First, I think they're redefining the accepted definition of the word "season" as we know it in television. It's only been on for six years. Seems to me they aren't new seasons really, they're just new locations. Are they trying to change our "reality?"

When I first heard they were going to do this show, it sounded like a great concept, and I thought of people I knew who would be able to compete in a true survival competition.

Then I saw that first episode, and it all turned out to be nothing but a game. It isn't really about surviving anything except the voting process and mean-spirited competitors. It's just Fear Factor, really - how many gross things can you eat and dumb contests can you win? I was very disappointed, and haven't watched it since. I can't believe the number of people who think this is a show they "can't miss."
