Vin Scully, of the Dodgers, has never needed a colorman and is impartial. The same cannot be said for most team announcers (Hudler, Harrelson) If you go with network guys, Joe Morgan, as a former player, brings a knowledge of the game to broadcasts that is unequaled

Vin scully for the dodgers, he has history and is a good commentator (knows the game well and the background on players) and he is very fair and objective unlike a lot of announcers who heavily favor their team...he also is one of the only announcers i know of who doesnt need or use a color commentator (he usually is a solo announcer)

BTW MO j : he is not dead and he is still announcing dodger games to this day....and supporting Farmer John

Vin Scully, Harry Caray, Joe Morgan and Joe Garagiola are the ones that I'd choose...Peter Gammons is a good baseball analyst for ESPN..but he is far too biased towards Boston as is the Producer of ESPN.

I'd take anyone but Joe freakin' Buck. Hate that guy...

Best though - Miller from ESPN - great voice, captures the moment, and knows the game. Joe Morgan isn't my favorite, but the two of them together make a very good team.

You are all wrong. Don Sutton is the best. You always hear Joe Morgan say" Well when i was an All-Star blabla." With Don You can't get him tho gloat. He is modest. He was a great pitcher and don't get me wrong Morgan was good too, but we've heard enough about you Joe Morgan. (and his voice is so annoying)

Vin Scully. The Dodgers have not been the same since he died, And I bet Farmer John has had a huge drop-off since he died too!

I always liked Curt Gowdy and Joe Garagiola. They played the game and came up when the game had class.
