I don't think of religion as a restriction. If you look at why things happen (like why STDs exist, and why people die after getting shot), and try to look from the Lord's point of view, it's not restrictive.
I love religion, but I admit I have the HUGEST thing against looking at my man as my master. I'm stubborn where I have to have HALF the say in everything! I got to be the EQUAL partner. Otherwise, I'd run the risk of getting abused!

I just go with the Bible, however!

To me religion should be private thing, no matter what religion it's between you and your God. I hate it when any religion tries to thrust their beliefs on others, Religion should stay out of politics, politics should be a logical sane impassioned governing of the masses not a ranting bunch of loony's all trying to convince the world who is right.Only history can tell whether missionaries where actually a good thing but trying to destroy each other in the name of religion is pathetic, its been going on for over 3000 years the gods of Rome against the Sun worshiping Barbarians, The Gods of Troy and Greece. The Egyptians against Syrians. Isn't it about time we humans grew up?????

Religion is what is intended to bind people together. But when it becomes sectarion as people fight for their religion boasting that theirs is better than other's and the best of all, then the effect is just the opposite.

I think religion is great, but science is greater. I think culture is wonderful and we should preserve it, but not at the risk of denying the advancement of humanity. Many people live their religion instead of living their lives.

Religion, regardless of form and kind, is a manner of fundamental self-expression. So fundamental that it seeks to venerate that which or who connects the self to the beyond.
Therefore, there is really no sense of arguing on each other's doctrines. It is wiser to come together instead, and talk our commonalities. This way we'll have more believers...people who believe in themselves and that "which/who" is beyond them.

I think there is too much religion and not enough consciousness. Why let someone pour dogma into your mind unquestioningly when you could learn to think on your own and acheive a higher level of awareness?

religion is organized crap that 1 person says another should base his life on, usually leading to people killing people in the name of their "God".
people cant imagine not existing after death (neither do i), so we need to believe in something.
here is my religion: be as good as you can.....live well...die well.
