It is our animal nature that drives us to reproduce, fight for our territory, etc. It is our divine nature that inspires us to do good for others (or if you don't believe in divinity, some other drive). So what separates us? What is it in humanity that drives us to do these discompassionate deeds?

Ok, not necessarily even the worst of the worst. But we all have inner urges and desires (whether we act on them or not). So let's apply this to all of humanity. Not just scum.

not speaking from experience or anything but i believe you are a product of your environment, those with messed up childhoods or have parents that way tend to go in that general direction, but in some cases, which can lead to mental illness, in some cases, for those that do and had a good environment, i just believe they are mentally unstable... also suppressed sexual desires can lead to this...there are probably many factors that lead to all these things but just thought i would name a few

Mostly crappy parenting.... when you hear about all these serial killers and sexual predators they were usually the victims of abuse themselves as a child... what goes around comes around I guess.

simply a matter of power. we all want to be our own gods...and must have fearing followers. all people want to know they have control over others, no matter where they are in life.they live in fear of meeting a true god so decide if they ARE god....no fear.

people have different of levels of good and evil in their soul......so people do not know what is right and what is wrong, they are sick in ways that cannot be treated.
