I wen't to Diamond Hill State Park in Rhode Island...

It has tall high cliffs. Your not suppose to go up on the hills at night; but me and my friends snuck. As we got up; top of cliff. I started peaking over. I heard my friend make a noise, i look and i see a guy figure...i wasnt afraid, but he looked freaky. As i look down, he wasnt walking. my friend used his lighter...as he flashed it, the guy came closer. we looked away, and turn back...hes closer. we backed away...we looked back, he was gone.

I think he could have died on the cliff, maybe he was telling us to back away for safety. I dunno, i dont believe in ghosts, but ever since that night, i've felt creepy. I've always wanted to find more about that place.

Does any1 have research about killings, at diamond hill?

Hope this helps - hard to find:

Cumberland - The Edward J. Hayden Library.
This former monastery (Abbey of Our Lady of the Valley) has a ghostly monk who moves books about, a ghostly rider on horseback has been seen on the back trail, and the apparition of a child has been seen on the trails near the swamp. A monument on the grounds commemorates "Pierce's Fight"; the deaths of nine colonial militiamen who were killed by really, reaaally pissed local Native Americans on March 26th, 1676. The nine men were flayed (skinned alive), their heads put on pikes with sticks placed to hold the corners of their mouths in a "grin" to symbolize the smiling, lying white men that the Indians had quickly grown to hate. Screams are reported in the vicinity of the massacre, and some people claim that if you hold your ear to the stone, you can hear the screams as well.
The monastery is apparently located on Rte 114, whereas the Nine Men's Misery monument is located on Diamond Hill Road.

I found at that a woman and man were found dead. Reas this two articles:

Dead woman found in Park:
The decomposed body of a woman was found in Beacon Hill Park in November by Park gardener Al Cunningham. The body was about thirty metres from a trail near the Southgate Street entrance. The Times Colonist reported that police cordoned off the area and posted guards overnight while forensic pathologist Dr. Rex Ferris was called in from Vancouver to examine the scene and the body. The article stated the body had “little tissue left but a full head of long, black hair.” Dr. Ferris stated the body had been there “a long time. I’m talking of months.” (Times Colonist, November 17, 1983, p. B 1)
Though identification of the body had not been made, Victoria resident Dave Robertson believed it was his wife, who disappeared five months before on her daughter’s seventh birthday. Foul play was suspected because 40% of the body was covered with dirt. (Times Colonist, November 18, 1983, p. B 1)

Body found in Park:
A dead body was found behind the Cameron Bandshell on May 2. Victoria police identified him as Randolph Bernard Patterson, age 40, of “no fixed address.” They determined he died accidentally. (Times Colonist, May 3, 1985, p. A 2)
