Just because someone does not love you the way that you think you should be loved does not mean that they are not loving you to the fullest extent that THEY can love you. So if you are loved by someone that is kind of distant or cold and they are loving you as much as they possibly can, should you be satisfied?

If one is not satisfied, with another's actions, and cannot resolve the issue for both individuals.....One should not "settle"....or as you say, "be satisfied"
Because over time the 'distance and cold' will begin to take its toll....on the individual who has tried to 'be satisfied'.
