If a religion can ever feed the hungriest the demand for hunger would have died a thousand deaths already.
When humans forget the aim of the religion ,such ignorant questions come up to belittle the messages of the saints and the son of God. If the rich people start feeding the poor ,the queues will grow longer and longer and people will forget to work and always demand their pie of the doles.
Karma the duty to do some positive work to feed the pangs of hunger is in built. The Indians have out of ignorance put millions of such people on free doles thus killed the very foundation for doing some work. The Indian Govt. has tackled the sunami relief without any help from the the rich countries, this is well known, and have also helped the other countries in this regard.
Little knowledge is more confusing ,when it is made known that THE VEHICLE OF RAT is enjoyed by Hanuman it is LORD GANESHA my dear.

What does religion have to do with economics? Also what u call Hindu religion is not really what it used to be. Till the time when people here were living in close harmony with the laws of nature India was the wealthies nation in the world (Columbus etc all tried to find routes to India only).
Also Hinduism was never a religion. People who lived on the banks of the river Indus were called "Indoos" which over time became Hindu. Thus it was a geographical identity not a religious one. Whether one believes in God or not he is a hindu.
If you want some real insights into such issues read the book "Mystic's Musings" from amazon.com

"The poor will always be with us"
Poverty is a comparative state. The wealthier the culture becomes as a whole, the more "poor" people you will have.
But keep in mind that, in the US, anyway, the poorest have A/C, TV, indoor plumbing, health care, free food and clothing. That's "wealthy" in this country 180 years ago. But today, it's "poor."
In India, with a BILLION people, they manage to feed themselves. That is absolutely amazing.
But I gather you were making some sort of religious comment? What does Hinduism have to do with worldly hunger or the lack thereof?
Ah, now I see. Christians are NEVER hungry. There are NO hungry Jews, or Buddhists, or Jains, or Moslems.
Right?

first, let me say that hinduism is not 4000 years old. it's been continously evolving for longer than that- ever since people got together to live in groups-cities in north india. you can't expect people to have the same concerns and problems humanity had eons ago. and secondly, hinduism's never purported to be the end all to material suffering. every single person is free to enhance himself through the teachings. he may be anything and still be a hindu. that's why hinduism doesn't convert people. if you have found a path better suited to your needs and fears, hey, better luck to you..! it doesn't really tell a person to believe in a god. all you have to be is a good person to be a good hindu. and it doesn't mete out punishments like eternal fire nor prizes like renewable virgins. hinduism is not a religion with a beginning and an end. it continously evolves and it's there for you to take up or leave. it's a way of life.
coming back to under fed people, surely you can see that economy is not connected with religions. it's got to do with the population. india has always had about 1/5 or the 1/6 of the world's population since the end of the last ice age. as you might have noticed the country's area hasn't expanded together with it's population! it's natural to have the problem just as it is natural to fight it by all means available. very few people follow their religious teachings to the word. or else bush wouldn't be sending troops to break one of the most important commandments, namely, though shall not kill! if religions world over could have solved humnanity's problems, we'd have been living in paradise long ago. as it is we are living in a fools paradise with whole lots of self righteous ignoramuses. amen.

I easily have large situation postponing disbelief about this. the right clinical frame of mind to take in route of that is clearly to proceed to be agnostic and derive a try which will be utilized to falsify or corroborate the declare, then to %. holes contained in the technique contained in the mild of the outcomes to come back up with an option clarification, devise yet another try etc. even if, my degree of perception that that is so is amazingly low. yet another element to examine the following is the alleged clarification for the analyze, i.e. to help the protection rigidity. i am going to't reconcile that with ahimsa and it casts extra doubt upon the problem. The question of deriving food from a "hollow contained in the palate" easily refers to "tasting the dews of Heaven", it really is the practice of touching the bottom of the sphenoid with the end of the tongue, it really is a Bandha. once you do this, it touches the mucus on your nasopharynx. it truly is often produced remember like all different secretion contained in the body and its production does no longer damage the guidelines of thermodynamics.

its MYTH that they go to bed hungry
they may be poor - but in one billion people one person in some remote area dies of malnutrition doesnt mean that 1/3rd go to sleep on hungry stomach
if you see some of the govt sites - and the current E-newspapers you will realise that there are so many schemes for poor
i honestly feel you are misinformed
by the way do you know how many real poor are in our US?
and by the way - what religion has got to do with hungry poor??

If Christ feeds and helps his followers why is there so much hunger in south America He said him self there will always be poor, it is just the why the world works. I hope someday it will not be so. But it will take more than people becoming Christians

It is better to feed Hanniman the Rat God!
It is better not to feed the hungry -- they are in the process of working out their Karma so need to suffer.
Helping poor people would only mean they will have to be reincarnated once again because we spoiled it this time!
TRASH HAY WHAT!

and 650 million used to get meal so condition is between bed (where number of people hungry is more than number of people who are not hungry) and good (most getting food ) you can call this medium condition I think this medium condition has connection with medium color skin(not white not very black)who in turn has connection with economy look at world very black color skin Africa has some poorest country of world (more poor and more hungry than Hindu India) despite having Christianity and Islam religion, most white color people places are rich like Europe America Japan south Korea Australia new eland etc, now why color of skin has substantial connection with economy (my view) color of skin is due to temperature sunrays 1more the temperature more the desire of sex/women productivity result more children 2more the temperature more the person tire very quickly result less working power 3 more the temperature more the chance of losing temperament result fighting (see there is lot of civil wars in hot Africa and how cold Europe despite different culture and language between nations is acting with common currency as one nation and different states are united in u.s.a. )different Hindu kings done lots of fighting between them instead doing good thing with unity, in modern time also there is three war with Pakistan one with china and billions of dollars expenditure in defense may be enough to feed all hungry of country so its color of skin --> temperature -->overpopulation+less working power+ too much fighting
