Yes real love does exist. I still think about my first love allot and I still love her. We were in love 28 years ago and she broke up with me. I just found out that she still loves me too. We are both married with kids now and can't ever be together. Are love for each other has never died and never will. Thank God it wasn't just a one sided love on my part only.

Yes. However it is SUBJECTIVE. Please consider the following:
1) For God so loved the world he gave his one and only Son that whoever shall believe in him shall have eternal life. (Ultimate example of Gods love for his people by sacrificing his Son) (Agape is family love, as translated by the Greek language)
2) Hey Friend, whats happenin? (As when a friend greets another friend) (This love as translated by the Greek means "Philo" and is why Phillidelphia is called the "city of brotherly love")
3) I LOVE Icecream/Tom Cruise/Sandra Bollock, a book, a car, etc. This is not truely "love" in the traditional sense so much as it is an intense "like"- in the english language we're pretty sloppy in how we use the word "love"- in this case its actually means "like"
HOWEVER- if you feel sexually aroused/horny by another person this kind of love is called "Eros" which is supposed to be the kind of love between a married couple.
(From the Greek, of course) The bastardized word means "erotica" which is a generic word for pornographic material in polite society.
Interestingly enough, the word "pornographic" comes from the word "Porniea" which translates as "self pollution"- an apt name considering what it does to someones spiritualness.
Yes, these are all forms of love- some great and honorable, some quesitonable, some of doubtfull value

Yes, true love does exist - my parents just celebrated their 68th anniversary and their siblings have all celebrated 50+. I have been married [to the same man] nearly 37 years. Many of my friends are celebrating marriages that have lasted upwards of 35 years and still going strong. Love lasts - you just have to work at it.

Among families and such, sure. But real love doesn't exist the way movies and books portray it. Anything close is usually just infatuation and obsession.

MOST DEFINETLY,when you feel like you are dizzy and short of breath just thinking of the other person and can't stop thinking of that person ,smiling w/no reason but the thought of seeing the person again to touch and hold and deep long soft kisses. THEN you know you have just found REAL LOVE!

True real love is the love a mother feels for her children. I do know that you can be in love, fall in love......but that all comes and goes.... if you talk to an elderly couple, they will tell you that love takes work, and you have to fall in love over and over again.... but to never stop...
today's reality..... once they fall out of love that first time, no one wants to try to regain it, they give up and divorce......
