i mean advice as to what special things i should carry....besides the regular travelling ones......
and what i should do to make it the best trip ever?

take all your medical vaccines, shots etc. make sure you have insurance. carry plenty of wet wipes with you and tissues, a lonely planet guide for the area, some cash (split a 3rd in your bag, 3rd in your shoes, and a 3rd in your backpack/suitcase). Never carry more than 1000 rupees as this is plenty. It really is a lot of money over there. Learn how to say hello, thankyou and goodbye. Every culture and its people respect those that try speaking their language. Dont wear 'nice' clothes. If you can, buy the local gear and wear that coz then you will fit in. Thats the key - fitting in. Dont look too much like a tourist ;-)

Mussorie is one of the closest hill station from Delhi. Weather would be pleasant these days with lots of tourists around. There is reasonable good infrastructure from tourism point of view.
You should carry light to medium dresses with may be one light woolen for night outings. Common medicines for minor ailments as a matter of precaution. Drink only sealed bottled water with "ISI" or "FPO" mark. You may require to walk/trek a lot so do carry suitable footwear for comfort.
You can be usual there as at any tourist place in India. Due to heavy rush of tourists there these days, be extra careful of the food you take. It should be properly cooked, not half cooked. Take care of hygiene, particularly when using public conveniences.
