Here are my top 5 favorite films, minus the epics (Seven Samurai and The Godfather):
1. Vertigo (1958): Alfred Hitchcock's profound and deeply personal suspense masterpiece.
2. Citizen Kane (1941): Orson Welles' first feature-film is the most innovative and influential film ever made, and is widely regarded as the greatest film of all-time.
3. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968): Stanley Kubrick's deeply thought-provoking science-fiction symphony.
4. The Rules of the Game (1939): Jean Renoir's comedy of manners and intelligent study of social classes.
5. 8 1/2 (1963): Fredrico Fellini's surreal and hallucinatory showbiz satire.

3. Nightmare on Elm Street - Wes Craven, need i say more?
4. Shichinin no Samurai (Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai) - a really great movie about the samurai (mostly ronin in this case).]
5. The Classic - a Korean film about love. the first film that made my eyes well up in tears. really great storyline.

In no particullary order:

- Jerry Mcguirre
- I am Sam
- Edges of the Lord
- You've got mail
I pick those because actually my top 10 movies are all epics.
