I have been doing daycare for her almost-2-year-old since she was 6 months old but I want to get out of it completely. I have let all my other children go from my daycare but I cannot tell her that taking care of her daughter 2 days a week is getting in the way of my other home business. I love her child but I need to move on. I am a confident person but every time I go to talk to her to let her know, I lose my nerve and I don't know why or how to approach it best. She is an older first time parent and very particular. She has been a fantastic parent to do daycare for as she has heard my complaints over the years and has always taken the time to make me feel very appreciated which makes it even harder for me to tell her. She is only interested in one other person to do daycare for her and will take the day off if that person is not available and that person's daycare will be full for a few years as 2 of her families have new babies starting in the fall and winter.

You owe it to yourself, Her, and her child.......to tell her.
You have your own life to live. She will accept that.
There should be no reason why you both cannot remain friends.
You're both adults. And life goes on with change.
All the best to you, as well as your other home business!

My suggestion is to tell her immediatly. If you really want to stop then stop. So that she can find another sitter as soon as possible before, like you said, the sitters will be filled up soon. Just be honest and tell her you are getting our of the buiness. I am sure she will understand. Be confident as you say you are and just do it. Good Luck.
