Anti choice republican only gets 1 year in jail for harassing me at the clinic?

ME and my Fiance went to the clinic 5 weeks ago where our doctor performed The abortion medical procedure on her. It was successful and we all happy and pleased because he could have made it any painless. I highly recommend the doctor. Well Before we went in to the clinic a right wing extremist republican pushed my fiance. We pressed charges and the judge only gave him 1 year in jail? I dont think this is fair because he violated her while she was getting a safe and legal medical procedure. What can I do to make sure he does more time in jail for his horrible crime?

I know, why don't you kill everyone who is still growing or cannot survive on thier own, or doesn't have a fully developed brain. That would include you, because the body doesn't ever stop growing or at the very least "developing", you cannot survive on your own without the "womb" of mother earth, the sun, water, food, etc., and your brain obviously isn't fully developed since you consider something which can be killed "NOT ALIVE".

But then again, because it is far too young to fight back, and it is a completely innocent thing, and you could give it up for adoption (I know plenty of orphaned people. They are happy that thier mothers did not KILL THEM) so I guess it's morally ok to kill someone who is completely at your mercy or not fully self-sustaining. Hey, let's kill all the cripples, elderly, wounded, ill, or mentally challenged people as well! Don't you right to choose people embrace death for those people too? Euthanasia? Eugenics? How safe was it for your unborn child? Countless folks are in jail now as a result of a death to the unborn via shooting an expectant mother in the abdomen or causing severe trauma to the unborn.

By virtue of that fact alone, the court has ruled that there is life; conviction was for manslaughter.

So, let's get the point straight from the beginning. The court has ruled that there IS life by virtue of these convictions. The only differentiation that is made is WHO takes that life. When the mother VOLUNTARILY takes the life, we call it abortion. When a stranger takes the life, we call it MANSLAUGHTER.

There is nothing you can do. If he/she was already sentenced then that is it. Unfortunately these wackos can protest all they want and there is nothing anyone can do about it legally. I am so glad you charged that person once they pushed your fiance. Though I do wonder why she had an abortion if you are getting married anyway but of course that is her choice so you dont need to explain. Good luck in the future and just be glad he/she served at least sometime for the assault.

I have no sympathy for you. You had your own child murdered just because it was an inconvenient time for you to have a child. Pro-lifers are all for choice by the way. The choice is made when you decide to have sex. Even if you do use protection, you are making the choice to risk becoming pregnant.

If the guy did assult your fiance than he deserves to do the time, but a year is plenty, especially in a time when child molesters get probation.

Are you kidding me? The guy got a YEAR in jail for "pushing" someone? I understand you'd be upset about it but from any rational person's perspective a YEAR for "pushing" someone is already ridiculously high. How about making him say "I'm sorry" or maybe making him do 5 hours of community service?

Sorry, I really sympathize, but I don't think this is actually a horrible crime. The same thing could have happened anywhere just walking down the street--bottom line is, you ran into a guy who was a jerk. It was very unfortunate, but I think this is a fair outcome.

Civil lawsuit sounds like the way to go. If you let the Judge know that you are monitoring this case, and it is your right to do so, he/she will be more likely to see that this case doesn't slip away out of sight somewhere...
