I don't think the American audience is ready for an "all-moslem family cartoon tv show like the simpsons"
We aren't that open minded. Think about the movie that Albert Brooks was trying to produce "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World" that Sony wouldn't release because it has Muslim in the title.
