We have a two month old baby boy, almost 3 months old now. My wife thinks that she might be pregnant again. Is this possible?

Somewhat unlikely, but yes.

Yes she can get pregnant right now, but only if she is ovulating. She is NOT more likely to get pregnant on the first two months after birth, unless she is ovulating. Unfortunately is is hard to know if a woman is ovulating while breastfeeding. If she got pregnant on her first cycle, she would not have a period to signal to her that she was ovulating again.

If she suspects that she is pregnant, get her to take a test. She will need lots of extra help and nutrition to breastfeed and be pregnant at the same time.

If she is not pregnant this time, it might be a good idea to start using contraception, because it will be really tough on her if it does happen.

They say you usually wont get pregnant while breast feeding, however they say you should go on a mini pill to be safe as breast feeding is by no means a reliable form of birth control and shouldn't be treated as birth control. Your wife should go to the doctors to get as test as if she is pregnant she needs to stop breast feeding, her body cannot provide the necessary nutrients for both your baby now plus another one growing inside her, so breast feeding must cease in that circumstance.

Yes she can, actually when women have just given birth, they tend to be very fertile and can easily get pregnant.Look at Britney Spears, right after having her son she got pregnant. So if you don't want a little one anytime soon, use contraceptives!

Sure, however, she may not have a period if she's nursing. I knew a lady who nursed her child till 3yrs old and didn't have one the whole time. But get a blood test not a pee test! Some times the pee test is positive when nursing, too. Happened to me! Scary!!!

Yes it's possible. Breastfeeding can delay her period after delivery but it's not reliable birth control.

YES. SHE IS MOST VULERABLE TO BECOMING PREGNANT FROM THE POINT OF BIRTH TIL ABOUT 2 MONTHS...BUT STILL BREASTFEEDING IS NOT A GOOD FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL
