Yes, Just imagine how high a bullet goes when shot into the atmosphere, it will come back down with more force since gravity is a much more constant force then gun powder, The bullet will reach its max speed before hitting the ground becoming much more dangerous on its way back down, many people have been injured and killed by falling bullets.

Yes, of course, Every year on New Years numerous people are hurt or killed because someone senselessly fires a gun into the air as a form of celebration. Unfortunately it ends in tragedy.

The show "Mythbusters" on the Discovery Channel addressed this very question. The answer is....maybe. You can check out the episode recap at:

Briefly, they discovered it depends on the situation. I didn't get to see the whole episode, and it's been awhile, so I don't recall the details.

I would think, but I don't know, that they do. But only because of the momentum of a falling object- not as a bullet piercing skin & tissue. Good question!

Watch the Myth Busters. They proved that it was most definately a hazard. Bullets can easily crack a skull when they return.

if a bullet is falling without any force, then it won't harm u,it can only harm u if it enters ur body, which takes a lot of force, and a falling bullet won't have so that much force to penetrate into ur body.

Yeah they do, so don't go shooting bullets around towards the sky because gravity will bring them down and kill somebody.

Of course. Remember learning in school that what goes up must go down? Well they actually can pick up speed and do worse damage than if you shoot directly at someone so please do not try either of these.
