I already have 2 lilac bushes but looking for something more on pink/dark color something i saw called crab tree wine?

Magnolia trees smell nice and have nice flowers. Sorry to hear about your dad, but what you're doing is a very nice way to remember him.
Or, pink dogwood trees are very pretty.

Lilac trees can be quite easily grown in almost all areas of the world. Their flowers have a fantastic perfume and the tree, or bush, has very attractive leaves. You can get lilacs with dark or light purple, purple outlined with white, or pure white flowers.
My condolences on the loss of your dad, hope planting this tree will help ease your pain.

Lilac Bush! Smells great, and has beautiful light and/or dark purple flowers, sometimes white.
Blue Spruce is a wonderful smelling coniforous tree with great color, although it doesnt flower. Also great for shade.
