This is the online edition of Backstage - audition info, etc.
Backstage newspaper is available in L.A. - call the publisher, contact info, is somewhere on the website, to find out what day the newspaper is published. Or, check large newstands for it.
You can by the newspaper in L. A. - I don't know where. If you look carefully, at this online edition, there may be a telephone number and/or address for the publication.
The newspaper has more information than the online edition.
This is the first newspapers NYC wannabe actors purchase every Thursday. It's very reputable, has been in business many, many years.

Depending on what kinds of casting calls you are interested in, its a good idea to get a group of friends who can check the call boards at AFI. UCLA, USC and CAL Arts and distribute the info. They are always casting for student shorts.
