In a day and age when we have enough nukes to turn the entire region into a sheet of glass and put fat back on our feet and skate into Baghdad, why wouldn't we. Enough already! The Iraqis want civil war. The Iraqis want jihad. They want to torture and mutilate and destroy not only us but each other. I don't care if I have to pay $5 a gallon for gas, we need to withdraw our troops and let that hell hole of a cesspool go down the drain. I don't give a good god damn if that county ever achieves democracy. They are animals and should be treated as such!

One must not lose sight of the wider perspective of these events. Torturous deaths have been a part of every war and everywhere throughout he world. In Iraq, the U.S. has also accomplished a certain reputation of random killing and torture. The opposition does the same thing. We can always argue that the difference is that we're the good guys and they other side is not, therefore their deeds are by the devil and ours are isolated instances properly provoked, but it all comes down to....it's war and war isn't pretty and it's going to happen again, and I hope we are more careful about selecting our cause the next time we decide to show off and apply punishment to another country.

They hate our guts. If our military stays they will keep going battle after battle. If our military comes home Iraq might just attack the US again. I say the Iraqis should be rounded up and under complete control for a while.

Isn't it ironic. . . the tortured deaths were supposed retaliation for the killing the (sorry I can't spell his name) Iraqi leader last week.
The irony is - isn't that what gangs do - kill 2 for 1; kill for retaliation. It also reminds me of the mob (mafia). Did U.S. honestly think there would be no retaliation?

Our brothers and fathers and sons and our sisters, are merely part of a scorecard.

Nothing they can do but investigate. That's war for you. I wouldn't like it either if the Iraqi's were to come to this country and do a "cleansing", I would be pretty ticked also.

I hear ya. It is just so sad what happened. I cannot imagine what those two men's last few moments were like. Is there anything the US can do? It is just wrong what happened. I feel so bad for their families. If anyone knew those to brave men, my heart goes out to you.

Kill 'em all and let their Allah sort 'em out. To be honest, capture those responsible and those that aid and abet them, and post their massacre on the internet. An eye for an eye!

Everyone should stop torturing people-including the U.S. It should never have happened.

"Through violence you may murder a murderer, but you can't murder murder.
Through violence you may murder a liar, but you can't establish truth.
Through violence you may murder a hater, but you can't murder hate......It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than to convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred..." Martin Luther King, Jr.
