I have always liked helping others, if I can and this is a safe way to do it. There are many answers to choose from and you can ignore all of them if that's the way it comes out. I have always been told I am a teacher and councelor by nature, but always too scared I would say something wrong, have it taken wrong or used wrong, to go for it. I also have a tendency to take things into myself and can only take so much. When I'm done here, I can just go.
I also live in an isolated area that is not very accepting of my kind(Pagan), and work schedule keeps socializing time short. I need to remind myself that there are others out in the world and not just me and my cat. It's not quite as bad as all that; I have friends and family, but are at least an hour and a half away.

I can give of myself.

In the workaday world, so much is concentrated on making money for the company... here I get to use the knowledge I've spent a lifetime learning, the experience I've been building, and the solutions I've found... along with a bit of the old Google Fu... and maybe help someone for no other reason than to help them.

The group I used to volunteer with collapsed under its own poor financial weight and this gives me an outlet while I also look at other volunteer opportunities.

Plus, I've gotten fun new friends out of it! It's a win-win!

Get to know others. See how life is if you are only online answering others questions. help people with some of their problems. Make a few friends. Get out more and try your best not to be on the computer so much. Thats what I can think of so far. Bye now.
