He never, never said the troops are bad. He isn't a nutjob. He has more experience with the military than Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove and all the other top republicans put together. If anyone knows what they are talking about when it comes to troops, he does.

On one side of the aisle you have Murtha. Currently the most decorated veteran serving. On the other side of the aisle you have Cheney. Someone who hasn't had a real job in his entire life (the Halliburton gig was a reward for his work as Defense Secretary). -- and someone who wimpered out with 5 deferrals.

Murtha cares more about the troops. He also knows what is means to be in combat. Something that zero percent of the Bush administration knows (none of the Bush administration has served a day in combat - Rummy was a admin officer)

I think Cheney sounds like more of the nut job myself. Of course, no one can sound more like a nut job that Senator Lindsey Graham - a weasel if I ever saw one.

He's a Support Our Troops, Send them Home type of guy. Remember, he himself was a soldier in the Vietnam Conflict.

He sounds like a nutjob to you because you seem convinced that the US military belongs in Iraq right now. To people who don't believe that, Murtha makes a lot of sense.
