It depends on two things: the first is your attitude, and the second is your partner's attitude.

First, you: do you feel the need to keep it a secret from your partner? Do you cover your tracks when you're done using the computer? Are you nervous if she comes in while you're mid-conversation with your online hookup? Are you afraid to give your online hookup your phone number, in case they call when you're not expecting it?

If you feel guilty, then in your mind you're cheating, and so you are. You're doing an activity that is wrong; if it weren't, you wouldn't hide it.

Next, your partner: do you already know that *they* would consider it cheating, even if you don't? Have they given you reason to believe that they would be uncomfortable with such a thing? Are you afraid to bring up the subject, because they will likely confirm that such activity is cheating?

If so, they you are knowingly doing something that your partner wouldn't be happy with, and so you're being disrespectful, even if you don't consider it cheating. You're essentially breaking an explicit or implicit promise to your partner. Not a good idea.

Now, if you are up-front about this activity (full disclosure, not just hints) and you've discussed it and your partner is cool with it, then you're not cheating.

So -- what are you wearing? (heh)

Yup. You are having an emotional relationship with another woman - which means that you aren't paying that attention to your wife or girlfriend. Any attatchment that is more than friendship is cheating if you are in a relationship.

This is a good question.Yes it is cheating. It may seem innocent enough, but it is cheating.Best thing to do is love who you are with, and remember, there are a lot of players online, and that is ALL it is to them.Allow just so much time online and stick to it.I have personally seen a lot of divorces, because of this.Better yet, seek love and companionship with your present love at home and don`t rely on the computer to find love.DC

I am afraid it is and you need to stop before it gets out of hand because it will if you let it happen maybe you are unhappy or the relationship is over so you go to get support but is that all you want or do you want more ? and it depends on the talks you have what you talk about and it could be harmless to you but would you let her see you do it?better stop and take her out for dinner and a movie

You can give it all the answer or excuses you want. The reality is that if you have a girlfriend and talking to another woman, you're having an affair. An affair begin in the mine before it happen. so, if you love your wife or girlfriend, stop playing with fire and make her happy. We don't want anymore scarred woman. There's a lot of them already.

yes, it is cheating the bible says even to look at another person in lust is committing the act of adultery. So having any kind of Internet affair would defiantly be cheating.

If you are in a relationship with someone else.....and you are flirting or sexually chatting online with someone seriously....then yes. Wouldn't you think so if it were the other way around?
