Iran is thinking just one thing: its REGIME. The viability of its regime is the forefront problem. Iran doesn't need any nuclear energy, has many too oil and gas reserves. But it is afraid of US's democratic tellings would attract Iranian people, who want a deep regime change and want more liberty. In Iran the supreme authority is the Religious Leader: Hamaney. Hamaney demands one thing from the US: the guarantee of the religious regime of Iran. If this is met, then Iran would stop its nuclear program at just that moment. But it seems that the situation is worsening, I think it will be too late for both sides. Because I have a thesis, an Iran-US war (I think won't be such a war but if) would cause not a winner but two losers. This would change the history of all middle east and US. It would destroy all histories...

US is the chief hypocrite world-wide.

It wants to deny others what it already has itself.

Naturally, US has lost any credibility world-wide.

By the way, Iran was the first to contact the US to propose talks and negotiations forcing America's hands

The nuclear proliferation treaties sighned by both countries are in regards to nuclear weapons not energy
Energy is required for survival in todays modern world, who are we to deny survival to the Iranian citizens, just bullies on the playground taunting our peers...
reminds me of an old eddie murphy skit...
I got some ice cream...and you dont got none...

But in any case i think that the whole issue could be avoided if...
unlike in india where we helped them to gain weapons potential, we assisted the Iranians in providing energy for thier people...
It is the least we could do after we armed Saddam so he could fight them....by the way thats how we knew that iraq had wmd...............we handed them to them.......
