"Rasha S" ... what did I do for my country today? I made bewilderingly intelligent observations on Yahooland that furthered intelligent discussion in a liberal-induced tumultuous time. Sure, you signed up, but did you make observations? No? Loser.

"Viking Transvestite" ... Yes, I know what a Muslim is. Yes, I know the history of US foreign policy. I can't "shut th3 f*ck up" because that's not a sentence. Could you please re-post that in English.

"pherdpherphle" noted that I "absorbed intelligence". Glad he noticed. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to "projectile vomit" intelligence as most liberals do.

"Sundown" ... of course I'm referring to Islamic terrorists, that's who we're at war with. Use context clues, they help a lot. And yes, I do believe that most everybody that voted Democrat in the last Presidential election is on some kind of illegal drugs.

Liberalism is not a bad word, it is only portrayed that way by those who need to label people. To be a liberal is to simply have an open opinion to something or an opinion that may go against a set belief (look it up). Case in point: If you agree that racism is a bad ideal, 50 years ago you would have been a liberal. The opposite is being conservative. This is also not a bad word. This simply means that you want to keep the "status quo" or go with a more traditional value. Case in point: Women should not be in the work place is a conservative stance.

So, instead of saying that liberals are drugged out hippies, you should do a little homework to realize that the fact that you are online writing these questions means that you have a liberal stance on technology, as a conservative would say that you should have read a book or asked your local official for an answer. Neither stance is bad, it's all in the spin you put on it.

There are so many generalizations in your question, which is pretty much racism. When you say Muslims do you mean the extremist Islamic fundamentalist that make up a small portion of Muslims. To say all liberals do drugs is absurd, half the country voted democrat. You are saying half the country is on drugs? Narrow minded thinking is why you don't understand what is really wrong with this country. I am assuming you have a very low level of education compared to higher educated people who happen to be the liberals. Wait conservatives like people being stupid, illiterate, and idiots.

Perhaps you should remove your blindfold before you make any more observations, that way they might contain a liitle intelligence. Those you made today would insult the intelligence of an illiterate grasshopper. As a result the contribution you made today was actually negative i.e. you absorbed intelligence.

You fascists went to war to steal, you have stolen property from another country and credibility from the rest of the us population.

I am a flaming liberal, and I decided to go to a military academy because of the war.

What did YOU do for your country today?

------------------------

Oh... Forgive me. It completely escaped my mind that anything you could possibly say would be "bewilderingly intelligent". I also forgot that some people consider chatting on the internet all day their life's work.

Do me a favor and don't bash something you have no idea about. Until you sign up to join the military, shut up.

Would conservatives?

KABUL, Afghanistan, Nov. 18 - Poppy cultivation in Afghanistan, the source of most of the opium and heroin on Europe's streets, was up sharply this year, reaching the highest levels in the country's history and in the world, the United Nations announced on Thursday.

"In Afghanistan, drugs are now a clear and present danger," said Antonio Maria Costa, director of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, on the release of the 2004 Afghanistan opium survey. "The fear that Afghanistan might degenerate into a narco-state is becoming a reality."

According to Alfred McCoy, professor of Southeast and Asian History at the University of Wisconsin and author of The Politics of Heroin: CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade, “Once the heroin left these labs in Pakistan's northwest frontier, the Sicilian Mafia imported the drugs into the US, where they soon captured 60% of the US heroin market”.

By 1981, Afghanistan — via Pakistan — had become the world's largest supplier of heroin.

The CIA's involvement in the Afghan drugs trade ended after the Mujaheddin overthrew the PDPA government in 1992. However, the export of heroin from Afghanistan to the West continued. By 1996, when the post-PDPA Mujaheddin government of Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani was overthrown by the ISI-organised Taliban militia, Afghanistan was exporting $80 billion worth of heroin annually.

The cultivation of opium in Afghanistan reached its peak in 1999, when 910 km2 of poppies were sown, with the encouragement of the Taliban regime which relied on taxing the export of opium to buy arms. At the time, Afghanistan accounted for 72% of the world's illicit opium supply.

Under mounting international pressure the Taliban regime banned the cultivation of opium in 2000, boosting the value of existing stockpiles. Production of opium in Afghanistan fell by 60% in 2001. Opium production in Afghanistan continued — in fact, doubled — in the areas controlled by the Northern Alliance, the coalition of anti-Taliban mujaheddin factions.

Following the overthrow of the Taliban regime by the US-backed Northern Alliance in late 2001, opium production began to rapidly increase. The UN narcotics agency reported on February 26 that “about 3400 tons of opium were produced in Afghanistan in 2002, making Afghanistan again the largest opium producer in the world… Over three-quarters of the heroin sold in Europe is originating from Afghanistan.”
