Shaving up your legs is much easier on your hand when you're holding it, you'll get a much closer shave. I'm only 13 and have been shaving for 10 years. I have always shaved up my legs and occasionally down just to make sure there aren't any missed patches and I have never ever cut my self. Also, cheap conditioner works great as an alternative of shaving cream, or mixed together with the cream. I usually use conditioner once or twice a week. I buy V05 conditioner from Family Dollar for $2 a bottle, and they are big. It really helps your legs. Also, make sure you use some kind of moisturizer on your legs after shaving and wait 12 hours to go swimming, 24 hours if you will be swimming in salt water, otherwise it may sting. If you can't wait that long, use some water proof sunscreen all over your legs so the water can't get to it.

Against the grain is always the way to go. If you shave in the direction your hair grows, you may have to go over it a few times before you get a close shave. Its also easier to get cuts on your skin that way.

They say to always shave in the direction in which the hair grows, but I do both against and in direction, this gives your legs a more smooth finish, and if you use conditioner along with cream your legs will be real shiny and smooth! and they look and feel GREAT!

I usually shave with first to get as much as I can and then I go back and do it against just a little bit to get anything I might have missed. This method might take longer, but it also takes better care of your skin to not be pulling on your legs too much.

Depends on how much you have a lot of hair shave in the direction of growth and then go backwards when it is shorter to get all the stubs!.. don't forget the shaving cream.. try a men's beard brand they protect very well no cuts yet!!!

You should shave it against it because this way it helps pull it out more and you get a closer shave if you did it with it you would probably have to go back over it.

Always shave UP your leg. Not only does it cut the hair closer to the skin, but it is easier on the hand holding the razor. You are much less likely to cut yourself. ;)
