i recently saw the movie call I ROBOT they explain every thing about the robot and the way they think........... did any one can tell me what is the future of the world with as the robots controlling over us. this is also for my article can any one give suggestions......

AI can enable miracles of the future. We will be able to talk and converse with computers. Robots will help elders and maybe even play some games with them. They will have emotions like love, and sense of touch.
Super fast processors are needed for even trivial "human like" qualities. It is extremely complex to mimic the human brain and efforts like genetic algorithms, neural networks and fuzzy logic will help in getting us close.
Even online robots that make suggestions to us for movies we should go and clothes we should wear depending on our location. Cell phones that decide which call to take @ what time depending on our relationship with people which may in turn be decided by people we chat/email.
It can get really complex really fast! AI is an active area of research and there are very few problems that have been solved 100%

I myself think that not to far in the future robots will be a very big part of todays world I'm a computer tech and I see it coming fast and there will be a robot in every house and they will be running everything and all the machines will take over jobs as they have been doing for over 10 years now?

First off robots dont think, programmers tell them what to think and when based on pre programmed functions....check out the honda robot that is a great example...as for the future it is bright for AI but its all about the programmer and the ability to learn.....do a search on google.com or yahoo.com youll find tons of articles on AI

as for the people that say it will destroy the world they have no clue,
robot will help and alrady do in hospitals and more so down the road, when you are in line at wallmart and you goto the fast check out thats your robot lol and its much better than dealing with some grumpy person making minumum p lol

First of all i LOVE i,robot its my favorite movie ever. And I think in the future there will be artificial intelligence programmed in everyones brains. Maybe then humans will stop being so stupid. But who knows. Bye. I love that movie!

Well Artificial Intelligence is defined as intelligence exhibited by an artificial entity. Such a system is generally assumed to be a computer.
Four charcteristics that AI should display:
- act humanly
- think humanly
- act rationally
- think rationally
But I think that the furture of AI will be a system which will move, act, think just like a human and maybe even have feelings...........wldn't that be really cool.

AI is a very complicated thing. While it is realitively easy to mimick physical attributes of humans it is very hard to mimick the more subtle forms of humanity. Teaching a machine what true love is something they have been working on since the 1970's
If you want to learn were we may be heading pick up the book "The Age of Spiritual Machines" by Ray Kurzwell

I think artificial intelligence or the fifth generation computers has a great future. Scientists are still trying to research it. As per me, it holds a very good scope ten years down the line

i believe that we are gona control the robots which gona make out life easier.. like we can stay in the bed all day and night =) lol ... but ireally think that if robot exisited we are gona feel more comfortable and live happily ever after :P

Only with a quantum computer will you ever be able to reproduce the intricicies of the human brain. Basically no computer is advanced enough to simulate or emulate our brain functions and will not really be of any intelligence just of large databases and good guesses.

I think that humans will become so dependent on robots that it will hurt us than help.
