Those terms are for individual genes, not people. A gene is made up of a pair of alleles, one from each gamete. These alleles can be one of many variations. If the alleles are identical, the gene is homozygous.

the two members of an allele pair in a homozygous are same, while in a heterozygous are different!

homozygous = both copies of genetic material are identical. Heterozygous = two different copies of the same gene
