Every time I fail to mention the fact I hate transferred text, that is exactly what I get. One person's answers actually look like he/she knew them already, or at least took the time to type them him/her self. Thank you to that person.

He was a pretty interresting man. You know that he freed his slaves before the War was over? He was somewhat for slavery but mainly was fighting for state's rights.
Anyways, to your question. He had a lot of nicknames. Like 'King of Spades', 'The Old Man' and my favorite 'Granny Lee'. Come on, he wasn't a woman. Grandpa Lee would've worked.
The people above listed other nicknames; they're right so I won't list them here too.

Granny Lee, because when he first took command of the Army of Northern Virginia his men hated his fussiness and attention to detail.

Hey, uglymug, Lee wasn't called Granny because of his fussyness! He was called that because of his failures in the early portion of the war, before he was overall commander. It wasn't until the peninsular campaign that he proved himself.
