Wolfgang Pauli was the first to propose it in 1930, but Enrico Fermi named it.
In 1932 James Chadwick discovers the neutron.
But it wasn't until 1956 that Reines and Cowan actually discovered neutrino reactions in their atomic experiments.

James Chadwick discovered the neutron in 1932.
Ernest Rutherford, head of Cambridge University's nuclear physics lab, discovered the proton in 1919 and oversaw Chadwick's PhD in 1921.

The discovery of Neutron is credited to James chadwick in 1932, but the Rutherford have already predicted its existense 12 years back.
To prove neutron existence chadwick performed the famous scattering demonstration.
