An awful lot of whys? We die because material time dictates so. We are born because we chose to be born. We kill because our sense of good is much to low and selfish. We are here to learn why we are here. The universe exist because it was put into motion by the great Being of all so that we may be assured of everlasting existence and it is our home. Life is full of questions, just don't close your mind to the fine tuning that is going on and you will hear the answers, and if you don't now, you will. For you have all of eternity to find out Why.

We die because things move in a cycle, all things must die. We are born to live and experience, to learn. We kill to survive. Scientifically, because things react to each other, forming new things, creating masses. Personally, the universe exists purely for the mystery of existing, to give us new heights to reach for, new dreams to chase, new stars to wish upon.

Thales fell in a well and looking up through the well's opening e saw the clouds moving over head and asked "Why?". Perhaps he should have been asking himself, "How am I going to get out of this place?", "Do I know how to swim? Girgle, girgle... Maybe not.", "Boy am I glad that this is the rainy season, what if it ad been winter?" His conclusion was change. If he had thought hot sex we would be studying pornography instead of philosophy right now. I mean most people who look up at the clouds don't think "Why?". They think "Doesn't that look like a naked chick?" then they move on. The anwer to "Why?" will always be "Unknown.", because; if you knew you wouldn't ask the question and not knowing you feel safe in doing so. Why not? is a contradiction. Because is a reflexive. Unknown is as good as you are going to get.

Why do we die?
We die because our bodies fail us. They either quit from age or disease or some outside means.
Why are we born?
To carry on our species, that is one of our primal insticnts.
Why do we kill?
We kill because of malice or to survive. You might kill in self-defense or to eat.
Why are we here?
We are here because an almighty god wanted us to be here (not "God" but a god (he does have a real name).
Why does the universe exist?
The universe exists for one purpose, to glorify Yahweh (the only god). Everything in the universe typlifies him (man) or his pattern (three in one, like an atom).
That is why.

dying and the reasons for it - differ from one person to another - in my opinion, I will die so that my spirit can move forward to the next life - I was born so that the spirit could use my flesh - killing, I am not sure about - why I am here - I believe is so that I can learn from this this and take the lessons withme to the next....I am a very old soul and I believe that is why I exist

Why is it important to know the reason? It's like asking "why do we get hungry?" A better question is, "what is good to eat when we get hungry?"

So please let me rephrase some of your questions:

What should be our plan for leaving this world?
What is the best way to be born? At home or in the hospital?
How can we help people that commit murder?
What should we do with our lives now that we are here?
What should we do for our nature that is part of this universe?

Death and life go together. We have been programmed to think this way. If we look at life as a small but important piece of eternity then the questions you ask do not actually matter.

If you think the universe is eternal, then this world or this life is part of it. The whole cosmic reality beckons us to be one with it and therefore see others as co-beholders of this mystery we call life.

We are born and are here to give glory to God. Our death is either our enterance into heaven or hell. We kill because we are sinful. The universe exists because God made it.
