Talk to your the doctor who prescribed your meds, or parents/friends/trusted adult (depending on age) and let them know how you're feeling. Are you taking your meds as prescribed, or missing day(s)? Make sure you're taking them as prescribed.

Meds are just temporary fixes, in my opinion. It sounds like what you need more than chemicals is something to get your mind distracted.
Do you have a hobby? Perhaps you could get involved in a community garden project or do some volunteer tutoring. Have you tried taking up a new kind of exercise, maybe joining a folk dancing group or go to a roller skating rink. How about reading the Bible and doing research on the deeper parts?
Just about anything which will get you thinking "out of the norm" of your everyday life will benefit you immensely. And especially, if this new activity will be of benefit to others, it will ultimately benefit you in the long run.

Hey Gen...SmileyCat here! Personally coming from someone that is bi-polar...I think you're on the wrong meds! What are some of your symptoms? Reading now in my PDR...Xanax for possible side effects is weekness and confusion my occur. Depression, lethargy, disorientations, tremors and a host of other things.
Lithium - I can't stand....never felt like myself when I was on it.
Effexor says it can raise your blood pressure, so be aware of that. Common side effects blurred vision, tiredness, dizziness, sleeplessness, nervousness......etc. Hey...say abnormal ejaculation.....glad we're not guys!
Unfortuately some doctors tend to get Happy feet and prescribe way to much. Mixing a thousand chemicals all at once....some brains like mine are just to sensitive to some drugs...that's why I switched to Trileptal....think about that drug. It's been my sanity wonder pill!
Over and out!

Try meditation. Relax. Take a warm bubble bath.
How long have you been on your meds? Sometimes, I think, Drs put people on med too fast. If you are just starting out, you may be on too high a dose?
Call your Dr.

Have you tried paxil? But don't take that one if you're a teenager and suicidal. It can have serious side effects if either of those are true for you. I know you might think this is nuts but have you tried reading the Psalms from the Bible? They are incredibly soothing, I also recommend prayer.

These types of medications will not help. You need to consider regular therapy, meditation and lots of exercise.
