No - they are in the process of developing a missile that will (according to them) have the capability of reaching the United States. At this time, they are just trying to present scare tactics. The situation in Iran is much more serious - though not a direct threat to the US.

http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/64381.html - there's your answer...The Koreans may launch a missle, but haven't yet, that has the potential to reach Los Angeles and no farther to the United States...They say they need a weapons program so they can protect themselves from the U.S. invading them...The Koreans shouldn't fire a missle that has the potential to kill innocents. The Koreans don't need a weapons program.

Why is it ok for the US to fire missles and another country not? Aren't they a country with autonomy?
