they have saved money since i was born and i am almost 19 and a senior in highschool. moving out of state in a year with my bf. can i take the money if its in my name but they put it in there?

Why not ask them for it? Unless you're legal age in your state ( some says you have to be 21), I don't see why not. Go to the bank and show them your ID, birth records, or license and take. Don't forget to thank your folks. If I were you, I'd leave it there for true emergencies.

Maybe... It depends if you parents put a 21 year restriction on you. But you can go to the bank and ask them... make sure you take your ID, SS card and possibly your student Id or another form of identification with you. Good luck.

I'm sure they were smart enough to prevent a young girl from blowing the money they spent so long working and saving for. They did such a selfless thing for you, why would you go behind there back.

If it is in your name and you are 18 or older they have no say in whether you withdraw it or not.....Smart parents put limitations on how much can be withdrawn at a time until a certain age though..........

You better ask because you never know when you mite need more money later and you don't want them mad about at you about that money

maybe if its in a trust acct. easy... just call the bank and ask say i just have a ? can i blah blah blah
