Oh genies from wine bottles are the worst. They are stored up in there for so long just to get the taste good, and then when you buy them they have hope that they will one day see the light of day, but you have to just keep them in your house now dont you? Think of all that poor genie has gone through and now you expect wishes to come true? You better expect the grapes of wrath to pour down on you for all you put this poor thing through. I think that before you open it you should get some flowers and chocolate just in case.
Good luck man, good luck.

Genies are stingy with their wishes. Hey, wait a minute, I have never heard of a genie being released from a wine bottle. I have only heard of being released from a lamp. In any case though, I imagine the story is the same. A genie will try and trip you up on your wish in ways that would have you ask it wrong or in ways that it can be used against you. They really are intimidating creatures and they make ugly drunks.

It's very risky to release a genie from a wine bottle. Don't you know that? Now just imagine having a drunken genie trying to grant your wishes - you might ask for a coat and get a goat. You might ask for a diamond and get a lump of coal (you have to wait for time and pressure to turn it into a diamond). You might ask for the ability to fly and get turned INTO a fly.
No, the best thing to do is take the genie home and pour coffee into her or him until you see it taking effect. THEN, you can ask for your wishes. Otherwise, you are taking your life into your hands.

perils of genie release...hmmm...
Great Big Power....itty bitty space.
the Ginn has plotted for years and centuries of how to be released once more, almost all wishes granted would be geared towards their release by whatever means necessary.
Manipulation
Trickery to place the bottle opener as the new Ginn and therefore releasing them back to their extraplanar existance
The Ginn was placed within the bottle for a reason, it may not have the stipulation of having to serve the Master.
and being zapped for disturbing their slumber

First of all, the "genie" as you so vulgarly call it, is actually a djinni. It is pronounced the same way. and the djinni would not be drunk, as obviously, the djinni cannot be imprisoned in a full wine bottle. There would be no room. the djinni would grant you three wishes, and the worst thing that could happen to you is that one or more of your wishes would backfire on you.

I would love to have The Grapes of Wrath unloaded on me. I've been meaning to buy that on DVD for a while.

The genie will beat you over the head with the empty bottle until you pass out, and then you will wake up with a splitting headache.

Having a SLOSHED Genie...& getting what the Genie THINKS you wished for. Like if she's that drunk on the wine, what makes you think she can understand what you say?

Genies would be happy to be released, grant you your three wishes, and then be on their way... so be careful of what you wish for!
