Try deleting all the cheats that you have on it. If you still want cheats that are extremely easy to use, get an Action Replay Max for PS2. I have one, it has a ton of cheats for a ton of games. I think it's too old for San Andreas but you can go to www.codejunkies.com and get the special Action Replay codes for the disk. It saves the cheats on the Action Replay disc instead of your memory card. I think it only costs about $30 dollars although I could be wrong. It's worth whatever it costed though.

Hope this helps. It's the only thing that I know what to tell you.

Dude, ok this happened to me. I had a spare ps1 memory card with only crap on it, so i took apart my ps2 memory card and my ps1 and switched the data chips inside. I took my newly formatted ps1 memory card and inserted it into my ps2. The ps1 and ps2 cards then worked after that. None of the data was affected either. Try it out man, Jaden Richmond

Try re-formatting the memory card. Go to the browser of the ps2 and click on the memory card. hit "re-format". I think that is what they call it. This will however, erase everything on your memory card.

it is possible there is too much memory in the card or you might have put it near a magnet, if you did be glad you still have your memory in the card, but i say buy a new one, or it could also be the game which might be scratched
