Ok so I have tried every other alternative I can think of but in the late arvo, My Explorer won't let me connect to the internet, now my ISP say's it isn't on their end and my computer is fine all preferences and settings are all fine but still no connection!!!
It is driving me nutters!! All it keeps coming up with is 'This Page Cannot be Displayed' something to do with a DNS error, yet apparently everything is fine!! Please help....

that happened to me too

what you do is 2 options

1: press F10 during startup and completely system restore it to factory settings

2: download firefox or other browsers, something was wrong with my i.e. 6 and firefox worked perfectally fine
+ firefox is WAY safer

also check modem, cables, isp, etc. for errors

Use ipconfig to check whether you have a correct IP and DNS server set. If not, you will need to check on exactly how your computer is connected - DSL modem, router, etc.

Hey. double check the proxy settings and the port too...
Your ISP should give you that.

Chances are you have stumbled across the IE Windows Patch 2 Bug. That's just my guess though...

Have you tried restarting your computer?

See if there are any proxy settings in place. That might be the problem.
